1. Who we are

Mix and Master My Song (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an online mixing and mastering business operated by Matty Harris in Los Angeles, California, United States. This policy explains what personal information we collect through mixandmastermysong.com, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.

4. Your audio files

The music you send us is yours. We treat it as confidential and we do not share it, license it, sell it, or use it to train any machine learning system.

We keep project files for at least two years after final delivery so that we can handle revisions and re-supply a file you have lost. If you would like your files deleted sooner, email us and we will do it.

We may use short excerpts of completed, publicly released work — including cover artwork and credits — to show what we have worked on, unless you ask us in writing not to.

5. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, and only as far as they need it:

  • Stripe and PayPal — payment processing
  • Kinsta — website hosting (servers in the United States)
  • FunnelKit — order follow-up and email marketing
  • WP Mail SMTP — outbound email delivery
  • CookieYes — cookie consent management
  • Wordfence and BlogVault — site security and backups
  • Google — where you reach us through Google Shopping or Google Ads product listings
  • Our accountant and, if ever necessary, our legal advisers

Our site analytics are self-hosted, so page-view data stays on our own server rather than going to a third-party analytics company. We also self-host our web fonts, so loading this site does not send your IP address to Google Fonts.

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to.

6. Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary for the site and shop to work — keeping you logged in, remembering your cart, and securing checkout. We also use cookies that help us understand site usage, and, where you consent, advertising cookies.

You can accept, reject or change your choices at any time using the cookie settings link in our footer. Blocking non-essential cookies will not stop you buying from us.

7. How long we keep things

  • Order and invoice records — 7 years, to meet tax and accounting requirements
  • Client audio, stems and session files — at least 2 years after final delivery, and often longer; deleted on request at any time
  • Marketing contact details — until you unsubscribe, or after 3 years of no engagement
  • Support and email correspondence — 3 years
  • Website analytics — 24 months

8. International transfers

We are based in the United States and our servers are in the United States. If you are in the UK, the European Economic Area or another region with data transfer rules, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard with our providers.

9. Your rights

If you are in the UK or the EEA, you have the right to access your information, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a portable copy, and withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and why, to request a copy, to request deletion, to request correction, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

To exercise any of these rights, email matty@mixandmastermysong.com. We will respond within the time the law allows — 30 days in the UK/EEA, 45 days in California. We may need to verify who you are first.

10. Security

The site runs over HTTPS, is protected by a web application firewall, and is backed up regularly. Payment details are handled entirely by Stripe and PayPal and never reach our servers. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

11. Children

Our services are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Material changes will be announced on this page.
