1. Agreement
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of mixandmastermysong.com and any service or product you buy from Mix and Master My Song (“we”, “us”, “our”), operated by Matty Harris in Los Angeles, California. By purchasing or using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. What we provide
- Online mixing and mastering services
- Mixing and mastering coaching, including session breakdowns and live calls
- Digital products such as presets, templates and downloadable files
Everything is delivered digitally unless we agree otherwise in writing.
3. Orders and payment
- Prices are in US dollars unless stated otherwise.
- Full payment is required before work begins or a digital product is released.
- Payments are processed by Stripe and PayPal. We never see or store your full card details.
- We may refuse or cancel an order at our discretion, and will refund in full if we do.
4. What we need from you
To mix or master your record we need clearly labelled audio — individual track stems exported from your DAW, or the DAW session itself. Turnaround starts when we have usable files, not when payment clears. If files are missing, corrupt or unusable we will tell you promptly, and the clock starts again once replacements arrive.
You confirm that you own or control the rights to everything you send us, and that our work on it will not infringe anyone else’s rights.
5. Turnaround
Our standard turnaround is 3–5 business days from receiving usable files, and revisions are typically returned within 24–48 hours. These are targets, not guarantees. If anything is going to take longer, we will tell you rather than let a deadline pass quietly. Business days exclude weekends and US public holidays.
6. Revisions
First-time clients receive unlimited revisions on the mix or master they have purchased, so that the record is right before you sign it off. “Revisions” means adjustments within the scope of the original brief.
The following are new work rather than revisions, and will be quoted separately: changing the arrangement, adding or replacing recorded parts, supplying new or re-recorded stems, or changing the creative direction after approval.
7. Delivery and file storage
Final files are delivered digitally. Please download and back up your files promptly.
We keep project files for at least two years after final delivery, and often longer, so that we can handle revisions or re-supply a file you have lost. This is a courtesy, not a backup service. We are not responsible for the loss of your files — including through hard drive failure, data corruption, accidental deletion or any other cause — whether the loss occurs on your side or ours. Keep your own copies.
You may ask us to delete your project files at any time and we will.
8. Ownership and credit
You keep ownership of your music and recordings at all times. On full payment, you receive full rights to use the delivered mixes and masters however you like, with no further fee or royalty owed to us.
We may use short excerpts of completed, publicly released work — together with cover artwork, artist name and our credit — to show what we have worked on. If you would rather we did not, tell us in writing and we will not.
9. Refunds and cancellation
- Before work begins: cancel for any reason and receive a full refund.
- After work begins: refunds are assessed against the work already completed, and may be partial. We would always rather use the revision process to get the record right.
- Coaching follows the same rule as mixing and mastering: a full refund before we begin, and after that assessed against the work completed.
- Digital products (presets, templates, downloads) can be refunded even after you have downloaded them, within 14 days of purchase. If a product is not right for you, contact us.
Customers in the UK and EU: you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. For services that begin immediately, you agree that performance starts right away and you acknowledge that you lose that statutory right of withdrawal once work has begun. Our own refund terms above are more generous than the statutory minimum for digital products, and apply regardless.
10. Billing problems and chargebacks
If something is wrong with a charge, contact us first — most issues are resolved the same day. Raising a chargeback without contacting us may result in the suspension of your account and of any work in progress. We use fraud prevention tools and retain order records to respond to disputes.
11. Acceptable use
Do not use this site to break the law, infringe anyone’s rights, upload malicious code, or attempt to gain unauthorised access. We may suspend access where we reasonably believe this is happening.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows: we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, including lost profits, lost opportunities or lost release dates; and our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the product or service it relates to. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
13. Disclaimer
Services and products are provided “as is”. Mixing and mastering are creative crafts. We bring our full experience to every record, but we cannot and do not guarantee any particular artistic, technical or commercial result — including playlist placement, streaming performance, chart position or radio play.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict of law principles. Consumers keep any rights they have under the mandatory law of their own country.
15. Changes
We may update these terms. Changes are posted here with a new revision date, and the version in force is the one published when you place your order.
